ABA and UnionPay bring you UnionPay MoneyExpress, a secure, convenient, and fast remittance service that enables ABA UnionPay cardholders to make fund transfers with other UnionPay¹ cards via ABA Mobile in real-time².

Why UnionPay MoneyExpress?

UnionPay MoneyExpress is a cross-border remittance service, which settles the exchange rate in advance and deposits the funds into the receiver’s UnionPay account in RMB. UnionPay MoneyExpress is:

Highly secure, convenient, and efficient remittance solution;
Affordable with no currency conversion fee for remittance to RMB accounts;
Settled on real-time or within 12 hours of sending the transaction; and
Simple, only the 16-digit UnionPay card number and recipient’s name are required.

Additional important information

UnionPay MoneyExpress is only available in USD or ABA customers and not available for transfers between ABA UnionPay cards.
The currency conversion fee is based on the UnionPay exchange rate at the time of transfer.

How to transfer funds from ABA UnionPay card with UnionPay MoneyExpress

Launch the ABA Mobile app;
Tap Transfers on the main screen and select Transfer to cards;
Choose UnionPay MoneyExpress¹ and select the UnionPay card you want to send from;
Enter the receiver’s card 16-digit card number, name, amount², and purpose;
Agree to the Terms & Conditions and tap Transfer;
Check the details and confirm with your ABA Mobile 4-digit PIN.

How to receive funds to ABA UnionPay card with UnionPay MoneyExpress

To receive money via UnionPay MoneyExpress, ABA customer needs to provide their name and the 16-digit card number to the sender.

ABA customer will be notified via the ABA Mobile app once the funds are credited to their bank account linked to the card.

1. What is “UnionPay Money Express”?

UnionPay Money Express is a payment network of UnionPay International Co., Ltd. for peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions that allow ABA UnionPay (debit card) cardholders to make domestic and international money transfer from ABA mobile app to other UnionPay cards issued in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

2. To what UnionPay cards issued in Cambodia can I send UnionPay Money Express transfer?

You can send funds instantly to UnionPay cards issued by any bank in Cambodia (excludes ABA UnionPay card).

3. What information shall I request from the receiver to send them funds via UnionPay Money Express?

You should input the 16-digit number or more depending on issuer bank, receiver’s name & purpose of the transfer (for international transfer) both of which can be found on the receiver’s UnionPay card.

4. What is the maximum amount for domestic/cross-border money transfer via UnionPay Money Express?

The maximum amount for the single transaction shall not exceed USD 2,500, while daily shall not exceed USD2,500 and monthly shall not exceed USD 10,000 or 10 transactions a day and 20 transactions a month.

5. What should I do if I transfer funds to a wrong UnionPay card number?

In case of a wrong transfer, inform ABA Contact Center on it immediately at 098 203 203. Always double-check the name and recipient information before confirming on the transfer in the app.

6. How long does it take for domestic/cross-border transfer via UnionPay Money Express?

It is a real-time payments network allowing ABA customers to transfer money within 12 hours of sending transaction. Actual availability of money transfer is subject to banking hours, system availability, and local beneficiary bank regulatory requirements.

7. Will the beneficiary of my UnionPay Money Express transfer be charged for this service?

No. There is no service fee for the beneficiary to receive money.

8. Can I cancel the transaction that was completed?

No, you cannot cancel the transaction once it has been submitted. Hence, please ensure the details are correct before you proceed with the transfer.

9. Will I get any confirmation of the transaction in ABA Mobile App after I transferred via UnionPay Money Express?

After you perform the transaction, you can proceed to Notifications section of the app and see the amount of funds that was blocked on your account for the transfer.

10. Can I make a several transfers with UnionPay Money Express in my ABA Mobile App?

Yes, you can. Every new transaction is subject to the new fee charge. Please check the transfer limits and fees table above for more information.

11. What is the currency exchange rate for UnionPay Money Express transfers to overseas?

There is no currency conversion fee for remittance to RMB accounts as this service settles the exchange rate in advance and deposits the funds into the receiver’s UnionPay account in RMB.

12. What should I do if my phone gets disconnected or switched off while performing the UnionPay Money Express transfer on ABA Mobile App?

You can simply re-launch the ABA Mobile app and verify your transaction history to check if the transaction has been executed (active Internet connection required). In case of having any issues, please contact our 24/7 Contact Center at 098 203 203 for support.

13. If I want to transfer money to overseas with UnionPay Money Express, how many countries are available for this service?

This service is available for China, Hong Kong SAR, and Macau SAR.

14. Can I create template for regular transaction?

Of course! Simply move the “Create Template” toggle when you make your first UnionPay Money Express transfer in ABA Mobile, and the template for this transfer will be automatically added to the list of your templates under Quick Transfer menu of the app.

15. What if I want to send from my ABA UnionPay card to another UnionPay card issued by ABA Bank?

You cannot send money using UnionPay Money Express in ABA Mobile with another ABA UnionPay card. Please use account-to-account feature in ABA Mobile to send to another ABA accountholder.
