Introducing ABA Instant Account in ABA Mobile for new-to-bank customers! Instant Account replaces the traditional method of opening a bank account that usually requires traveling to a bank branch and passing through lengthy formal procedures.

From now on, any Cambodian with a valid ID card who wishes to access modern digital banking services can open their first ABA account right through ABA Mobile in a few minutes!

  • Cambodian National only
  • At least 15 years of age or above on the date of subscription to the Instant Account
  • Owns a valid and original identification document: Cambodian National ID only (Passport is currently not allowed)
  • A new customer to ABA
  • Applicable for ABA Mobile app user only

  • Owns a Cambodian phone number, which has never been used for ABA Mobile registration
  • Owns a capable Smartphone with good quality camera and the ability to take a clear picture of the identification document and a selfie photo of the owner

1 Customers can deposit through ABA Cash-In Machine and OTC.
2 Customers is required to use E-Cash for withdrawal or making payment on the mobile app.
3 Collection can be made at OTC or Card Embossing Machine
4 Onshore refers to card transaction performed with merchant located in Cambodia.
5 Offshore refers to card transactions performed with merchant located outside Cambodia.
6 Two accounts in dual currency i.e. USD and KHR will be opened at the same time.
7 No Passbook is provided. Customer is required to convert the account to Full Access before passbook can be given.
8 System will automatically charge USD 10.00 and KHR 40,000 if account is not operative for 12 months or more.
9 Customers can use the account to activate ABA Merchant and register the app as an individual seller
10 Use of E-cash service is subject to fee and charge. Please refer to E-Cash Product Terms and Conditions.
11 Customers will have a full access after the account has been converted at branch
12 ABA Mobile will have a full access immediately. Full access to OTC Transaction will be granted the next working day.

How to open Instant Account in ABA Mobile app

  1. Launch​ ABA​ Mobile​ app;​
  2. Select Open ABA Instant Account and accept the Terms and Conditions;
  3. Enter your phone number and the One Time Password (OTP)1 received via SMS;
  4. Take a selfie and take photo of your Cambodian National ID;
  5. Check your personal details and tap Confirm;
  6. Create a 4-digit PIN2;
  7. Tap Start Banking3.

1 If you made three unsuccessful attempts to input your OTP, you shall wait for an hour to try again.
2 Your 4-digit PIN must be unique and shall not be shared to anyone and under any circumstances.
3 To replenish your new Instant Account, you can transfer from another ABA account, do cash deposits or transfer from any e-wallet supported by ABA Bank (Wing, TrueMoney, Bakong).

ABA Instant Account is a new feature in providing additional convenience to new-to-ABA customers to open their first bank account with ABA Bank instantly using ABA Mobile app without visiting the bank branches or filling in documents. All you need are a smartphone and your Cambodian National ID.
If you are an existing ABA accountholder, you should activate ABA Mobile application instead and experience the full-scale mobile banking service.
Only someone with a Cambodian National ID can activated ABA Instant Account.
Please make sure that it is your ID card and that it is in good condition (undamaged, clear and clean) and still valid before taking it in a well-lit surrounding.
Please make sure that you are in a well-lit surrounding, no shadow casts on your face, eyes open and that your face is not fully or partially covered by hair, eyeglasses, hat, mask and other items that could make you look different from your photo ID.

Instant Account does not have any interest allocation.
Please visit any ABA Bank branch and request for an upgrade to a standard bank account.
If you close the account within 3 months from the opening date, a USD 20/KHR 80,000 fee will apply.
Instant Account does not provide such facilities.
Please visit any ABA Bank branch with your original and valid Cambodian National ID card to close it.
If your Instant Account has been inactive for more than one year, a USD 10/KHR 40,000 dormant fee will be charged for each inactive year.
You can choose between USD and KHR when opening your Instant Account. 
You can deposit money via ABA cash-in machines, transfer from your account with Bakong, Wing, TrueMoney or other ABA partners into your Instant Account. 
You can use ABA’s E-cash service for cardless cash withdrawals from any ABA’s ATM.
Instant Account is available for use within Cambodia only.
