ABA​ Bank​ introduces​ MoneyGram​ Money​ Transfers​ in​ ABA​ Mobile​ to​ offer​ an​ efficient​ and​ convenient​ way​ to​ move​ money​ across​ the​ globe​ anytime​ and​ anywhere.

ABA​ customers​ can​ send​ and​ receive​ money​ using​ MoneyGram​ Mobile​ Transfers​ directly​ from​ or​ into​ their​ bank​ accounts​ 24/7​ and​ without​ spending​ time​ on​ branch​ visits.​

How​ to​ receive​ money​ using​ MoneyGram​ in​ ABA​ Mobile

  • Launch​ ABA​ Mobile​ app;​
  • Go​ to​ Transfers​ and​ tap​ International​ Transfer​s –​ MoneyGram Transfer;
  • Choose​ Receive​ Money1;
  • Enter​ the​ 8-digit​ code​ of​ the​ transaction​ (provided​ by​ sender);
  • Select​ the​ ABA​ account​ to​ deposit​ the​ transfer;
  • Read​ and​ agree​ to​ the​ Terms​ and​ Conditions​ of​ the​ service;
  • Tap​ the​ Deposit​ button​ and​ confirm​ the​ transaction​ with​ your​ 4-digit​ ABA​ Mobile​ PIN.

1 If​ the​ transfer​ currency​ is​ different​ from​ the​​​ currency of your account,​ ABA​ Mobile​ will​ show​ the​ converted​ amount​ based​ on​ the​ ABA​ Bank’s​ exchange​ rate.

How​ to​ send​ money​ using​ MoneyGram​ in​ ABA​ Mobile

  • Launch​ ABA​ Mobile​ app;​
  • Go​ to​ Transfers​ and​ tap​ International​ Transfers​ –​ MoneyGram Transfer;
  • Choose​ Send​ Money;
  • Select​ the​ USD​ account​ you​ want​ to​ send​ money​ from​ and​ input​ the​ necessary​ receiver’s​ info;
  • At​ Receiving​ option,​ choose​ either​ Collect​ at​ Agent1​ or​ Deposit​ to​ Account2;
  • Select​ the​ receiving​ currency3,​ purpose​ of​ transaction,​ relationship​ to​ receiver,​ and​ input​ the​ receiver’s​ phone​ number​ and​ transfer​ amount4.​ Promotion​ code​ field​ is​ optional;
  • Read​ and​ agree​ to​ the​ Terms​ and​ Conditions​ of​ the​ service;
  • Tap​ Transfer​ and​ confirm​ the​ transaction​ with​ your​ 4-digit​ ABA​ Mobile​ PIN;
  • Once​ done,​ an​ 8-digit​ code5​ of​ the​ transaction​ will​ appear.​ You​ can​ tap​ it​ to​ share​ with​ the​ receiver.​

1 Collect​ at​ Agent​ is​ available​ if​ the​ receiving​ country​ has​ this​ facility.​ Depending​ on​ the​ destination​ country,​ you​ may​ need​ to​ key​ in​ the​ agent’s​ name​ or​ other​ additional​ information​ required​ by​ the​ agent.
2 Deposit​ to​ Account​ requires​ you​ to​ input​ the​ receiver’s​ bank​ name/SWIFT​ code/BIC​ code,​ account​ number,​ and​ address,​ as​ well​ as​ the​ other​ information​ required​ by​ the​ receiving​ bank.​ The​ processing​ time​ for​ the​ transfer​ is​ based​ on​ the​ receiving​ bank.
3​ The​ receiving​ currency​ depends​ on​ the​ destination​ country’s​ currency​ and​ the​ exchange​ rate​ is​ provided​ by​ MoneyGram.
4​ Fee​ in​ USD​ will​ be​ displayed​ after​ the​ transfer​ amount​ has​ been​ entered.
5​ The​ transaction​ code​ is​ valid​ for​ 45​ days​ and​ you​ can​ find​ it​ in​ the​ Notifications​ section​ of​ ABA​ Mobile.​

  • The information displayed in this manual is for demo purposes only.
  • Send or receive up to $9,999 USD per transaction.
  • Send/receive total of $25,000 USD in a 3-month (rolling 90-day) period, or $75,000 USD within a 12-month period, the transaction will be placed on hold.
  • Additional restrictions by receive country may apply.
  • Amendment/cancellation fee is 5 USD per transaction. Fill in the​ Amend/Cancel form and bring it to the nearest ABA branch immediately.

There​ are​ two​ options:
  • Receiver​ can​ collect​ cash​ at​ MoneyGram​ agent's​ office​ if​ you select​ the​ "Collect​ at​ Agent"​ option.​ The​ receiver​ will​ need​ to​ show​ the​ 8-digit​ transaction​ code​ generated​ during​ the​ transaction​ and​ identification​ document(s)​.
  • Receiver​ can​ receive​ money​ directly​ into​ his/her​ bank​ account​ if​ you select​ the​ "Deposit​ to​ Account"​ option.​
Money​ is​ transferred​ almost​ immediately​ for​ the​ “Collect​ at​ Agent”​ option,​ and​ it​ takes​ around​ 10​ minutes.​ For​ the​ ”Deposit​ to​ Account”​ option,​ the​ transaction​ is​ processed​ instantly​ by​ ABA​ Bank​ and​ the​ funds​ will​ be​ credited​ into​ the​ receiver’s​ account​ based​ on​ their​ bank’s​ processing​ time.
Yes​ you​ can,​ if​ MoneyGram​ service​ is​ available​ at​ the​ receiving​ bank​ and​ receiving​ destination.​ Please​ choose​ the​ "Deposit​ to​ Account"​ option.
No,​ MoneyGram​ Outward​ Transfer​ is​ applicable​ for​ individual​ transfers​ only.
Sending​ fee​ depends​ on​ the​ transfer​ amount​ and​ the​ receiver​ country.​ The​ fee​ in​ USD​ will​ be​ displayed​ after​ the​ transfer​ amount​ has​ been​ entered.​ For​ the​ list​ of​ countries​ where​ MoneyGram​ Transfer​ is​ available,​ please​ refer​ to​ this​ link​ https://secure.moneygram.com/embed/estimate
To​ cancel​ the​ transaction​ processed​ in​ the​ app,​ you​ need​ to​ immediately​ visit​ the​ nearest​ ABA​ branch​ and​ complete​ MoneyGram​ Cancellation​ and​ Amendment​ Form.​ Please​ note​ that​ transaction​ can​ be​ cancelled​ based​ on​ below​ condition​s only
  • If​ receivers​ have​ not​ yet​ withdrawn​ the​ money.
  • If​ transaction​ is​ sent​ for​ Cash​ Pick​ Up​ "Collect​ at​ Agent".​
You​ can​ only​ make​ amendment​ to​ the​ receiver’s​ name​ for​ the​ “Collect​ at​ Agent”​ option​ if​ the​ transaction​ hasn’t​ been​ paid​ out​ yet.​ To​ amend​ a​ transaction​ processed​ in​ the​ app,​ you​ need​ to​ immediately​ visit​ your​ nearest​ ABA​ branch​ and​ complete​ MoneyGram​ Amendment​ Form.​ Please​ note​ that​ amendment​ is​ not​ allowed​ for​ the​ “Deposit​ to​ Account”​ option.​
Yes,​ the​ amendment​ fee​ or​ cancellation​ fee​ is​ US$5​ per​ transaction.​
You​ and​ your​ receiver​ can​ track​ the​ transaction​ using​ the​ 8-digit​ code​ generated​ during​ the​ transfer​ on​ MoneyGram's​ website​ at​ https://www.moneygram.com/mgo/us/en/​  or​ visit​ an​ ABA​ branch​ to​ find​ out​ the​ status​ of​ the​ transaction.
A​ transaction​ can​ be​ rejected​ for​ the​ following​ reasons
  • The​ transfer​ amount​ has​ exceeded​ the​ maximum​ limit.
  • Receiver’s​ information​ is​ insufficient.
  • Transaction​ cannot​ be​ processed​ due​ to​ ABA​ Bank’s​ money​ transfer​ policy.
After you complete the transaction 8-digit code and other transaction details will appear on your screen.​ There​ are​ two​ ways​ share​ them​ with​ the​ receiver
  1. Select​ “Tap​ to​ share​ PIN​ to​ receiver”​ on​ the​ screen.​ 
  2. Tap​ on​ the​ transaction​ to​ get​ the​ Transaction​ Details,​ tap​ “Share”​ and​ choose​ the​ application​ to​ use.
IMPORTANT​ never​ share​ the​ 8-digit​ transaction​ code​ (MoneyGram​ reference​ number)​ and​ other​ transaction details​ with​ anyone​ except​ the​ receiver.
Yes,​ you​ can.​  Simply​ move​ the​ “Add to Favorites”​ toggle​ when​ you​ make​ your​ first​ transfer​ in​ ABA​ Mobile,​  and​ the​ template​ for​ this​ transfer​ will​ be​ automatically​ added​ to​ the​ list​ of​ your​ templates​ under​ the Favorites menu of the app.
