ABA Bank sponsors ITF Juniors 2017 Series

On February 11-26 Cambodia, represented by its Tennis Federation, hosted another ITF Juniors 2017 series at the National Tennis Center in Phnom Penh. The event was sponsored by ABA Bank as continuous support of tennis movement and thorough implementation of ABA’s CSR policy based on core values.

After rising tennis stars performed to their max at the court, we found out the winners: in the boy’s single category they were Jaewoo Kim of Korea for week 1 and Seita Wtanabe of Japan for week 2. The girl’s single category winners were Japan’s Yuki Ando for week 1 and Rina Saigo for week 2.

In the local line-up, out of 10 Cambodians who participated in the series one player was able to win a match. Ho Sreynoch won her 1st round doubles and earned her first-ever ITF ranking points.

This year’s tournament consists of players from 17 countries namely Cambodia, China, Chinese Taipei, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Russia, Philippines, Vietnam, Macau, Australia, UK and USA. The event was hosted by Tennis Federation of Cambodia after the recent nomination of Cambodia as one of the most improved tennis nations in Asia.
