1. What is PaySound?
PaySound is a voice alert feature that announces the payment amount instantly after a successful transaction.
2.​ Where can I use PaySound?
PaySound works on:
  • ABA Merchant app
  • ABA Mobile app (including Merchant Lite)
  • ABA POS Terminal
3.​ What payments does PaySound support?
It works with all supported payment methods, including:
  • KHQR (dynamic, static, printed)
  • WeChat Pay
  • Alipay
  • Card and QR payments
4.​ Which languages and currencies are supported?
  • Languages: Khmer, English, Chinese
  • Currencies: USD, KHR
  • Voice options: Male or Female
5.​ When will PaySound play?
PaySound plays only after a successful payment.It will not play for:
  • Failed or declined payments
  • Refunds or reversals
6.​ How do I turn on PaySound?
On the ABA Merchant app:
  1. Open the app
  2. Go to Menu > Settings
  3. Turn PaySound ON
  4. Choose your preferred language and voice
On the ABA Mobile app:
  1. Go to Settings > Extras > PaySound
  2. Enable
    • ABA QR (personal QR)
    • ABA Merchant (merchant payments)
On the ABA POS Terminal:
  1. Go to Settings > PaySound
  2. Toggle it on
  3. Choose your preferred language and voice
7.​ Do I need to set it up for each staff member?
Yes. Each user (including cashiers) must enable PaySound individually on their own device.
8.​ Will PaySound still work if my phone is locked or running in the background?
Yes. You will still hear the sound via notifications even if:
  • Your screen is off
  • You are using another app
9.​ Why can’t I hear PaySound?
Check the following settings:
  • Your phone is muted or on silent
  • Notification volume is turned off
  • Do Not Disturb / Focus Mode is on
  • App notifications are disabled
  • Any muted Bluetooth device is connected to the smartphone
10.​ Can I control PaySound volume in the app?
No. PaySound uses your device’s notification volume settings.
11.​ Does PaySound work on POS terminals?
Yes. It works on the POS terminal that processes the transaction. An internet connection is required.
12.​ Can I test PaySound without a real payment?
No. PaySound only works with actual successful transactions.
