Deputy Head of Financial Reporting Department

Job Purpose

To act as second-in-charge of Head Department in providing error-free reports by preparing, tracking, analyzing, examining resource usage, cash flow, business performance, and financial statements across the Bank as well as to ensure that all reports are fully complied with the requirements from National Bank of Cambodia, National Bank of Canada, Cambodian International Accounting Standard, and other related associates and authorities.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate with Head of Financial Reporting Department in reviewing various reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis including Trail Balance, BNC report, Treasury report, Related Parties Listing, BOD Material, and Financial Statement, in order to submit them to top management.
  • Prepare, review, and submit relevant financial reports (Audit, ALCO, SECC…) to the management team.
  • Review CIFRSs monthly adjustments and implementation in order to produce financial reports in accordance with CIFRSs standard practices.
  • Participate in the new product testing and launch to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Review the reconciliation reports from various divisions including Card Division, Credit Division, Cash Operation Division etc..,.
  • Delegate tasks to the team members, monitor and control the progress of work in order to ensure productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and timely report.
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Reporting Department to initiate suggestions in order to enhance internal procedures and practice of financial reporting processes.
  • Keep up-to-date on report’s laws and regulations required by local authorities/group and communicate them to management for discussion and approval.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, management, and/or other related fields, or CAT or ACCA qualification, is an advantage.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in Finance and Accounting preferably in Big Four accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard, and Internal Auditing Standard.
  • Excellent reconciling and reporting skills.
  • Excellent organizational leadership, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to propose ideas for improvement.Ability to communicate and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.Ability to use and communicate both Khmer and English.
  • Ability to analyze information and processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, urgency, attention to detail, and corporate nimbleness.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office, Accounting & Finance Application and Bank’s software.
