Enhancing financial knowledge for MSMEs: ABA sponsors Access to Finance Program 2024
10/Oct/2024
ABA became a Diamond Sponsor of the Access to Finance Program (AFP) 2024 co-organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC), the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC), and the Cambodian Microfinance Association (CMA). The Program is designed to promote financial literacy/financial inclusion and raise awareness on Khmer Riel among young entrepreneurs and micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
On 7 October 2024, the three associations held the MSMEs and Financial Night, gathering over 250 entrepreneurs. The meeting has become an opportunity for entrepreneurs who own businesses in all sectors to connect with financial institutions in Cambodia to exchange views and understand each other's needs.
At the event, ABA's Chief External Affairs Officer – Regional Manager, Ms. Theam Romny, presented best practices related to digital solutions for SMEs who need access to finance.
ABA also set up a dedicated booth staffed by its well-trained team to provide insights into the Bank’s financial products and services, focusing on loan offerings, primarily targeting MSMEs.
ABA remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that drive MSMEs’ growth through financial accessibility and gain valuable business-related knowledge that will enable them to develop to their fullest capacities.
