In an ongoing effort to support the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF)'s mission of improving the lives of underprivileged children, ABA Bank is proud to donate 26 sets of computers and UPS to CCF’s Neeson Cripps Academy.
On 6 November 2024, the donation handover was attended by ABA's and CCF's representatives, teachers, and students at the Academy. Opened in 2017, the Neeson Cripps Academy is CCF's flagship education facility, accommodating more than 400 underprivileged students from Grade 8 to 12.
“This initiative will empower the children with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and thrive in the digital landscape, opening up new opportunities for learning, creativity, and future career prospects,” stated Ly Vithiea, ABA's Chief Human Resources Officer at the event.
“We believe that by investing in their digital education, we are helping to build a brighter future for each child and, ultimately, for the community as a whole,” she added.
CCF's Chief Operating Officer, Lach Savy, expressed, “CCF and ABA are forging a long-term partnership to provide opportunities to unlock children’s potential and empower them through education.”
“Our approach is based on the belief that one child has the potential to lift an entire family out of poverty, and a generation of educated children has the power to change society. With strong partnerships, we can make a lasting impact for the children who need it most,” he continued.
Not only does this contribution play an important role in promoting students' digital literacy, but it also helps teachers deliver more interactive lessons, supports the library in managing resources, and enables the CCF staff to perform administrative tasks more efficiently.
ABA Bank has always been steadfast in supporting digital learning through computer donations in the past few years. In September, ABA donated 20 sets of computers to Hun Sen Pramoey High School in Pursat province. In 2023, the Bank donated IT equipment to Passerelles Numériques Cambodia (PNC) and established a computer lab with 15 desktops in Kampong Ro High School in Svay Rieng province.
