ABA sponsors Trust Forum 2024, focuses on financial transparency

As a trustee operator and a long-standing partner of the Trust Regulator of Cambodia, ABA Bank is proud to become the Platinum Sponsor of the Trust Forum 2024. This event aims to disseminate the progress of the development of the trust sector in Cambodia as well as the launch of the Trust Registration System.
The forum was held on 30 October 2024 in the esteemed presence of H.E. Ros Seilava, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Vice Chairman of the Non-Bank Financial Services Authority (FSA) and H.E. Sok Dara, Director General of Trust Regulator. Other attendees included national and international financial institutions, trust companies, and distinguished guests.
Under the theme “Trust: Beyond a Platform for Trust Building,” this full-day event consisted of panel discussions and presentations on relevant topics such as opportunities and benefits of using trust, family trust for succession planning, financial technology in the trust sector, and so on. Trust services refer to assets management and financial planning on behalf of individuals or organizations. By having those assets professionally and securely safeguarded by trust companies and licensed commercial banks, one can ensure their financial future is well-protected against potential risks.
During the Forum, ABA set up a dedicated booth to inform participants about the latest products and services, focusing mainly on Escrow Service, and its importance in large-amount transactions with unknown counterparts.
At the event, the Bank also had the honor of receiving the “Outstanding Trustee Operator Providing Retention or Escrow Services in the Trust Sector of 2023” award. The accolade underscores ABA’s commitment to offering highly secure and transparent financial services.
ABA remains steadfast in collaborating closely with the Trust Regulator to promote financial literacy and trust mechanisms, which are essential for sustainable growth.
