ABA Bank cooperates with global payment services Mastercard and UnionPay International (UPI) to bring more instant money transfer options on its ABA Mobile app.
With this integration, ABA Mobile users can now send and receive money with more countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as domestically using the Transfer to Cards feature. Transfers will be directly credited into the recipient’s account linked to the card in almost real-time.
Mastercard Send enables transfers between other Mastercard issued by the banks in Cambodia and Singapore, while UnionPay MoneyExpress works for transfers with other UPI cards issued by the banks in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Through either service, cardholder can transfer up to $2,500 in a single transaction at competitive fees, while the monthly limit goes as high as $10,000 for Mastercard Send and $20,000 for UnionPay MoneyExpress.
“We are pleased to offer our customers a wider choice when making instant money transfers both locally and internationally via ABA Mobile. Mastercard Send and UnionPay MoneyExpress use the fast and secure P2P payment technology via their respective payment networks and join the list of other instant money transfers already available in ABA Mobile,” commented Sanzhar Abdullayev, Chief Card and E-Payments Officer of ABA Bank.
“This integration will be a great support for expats who send money back home regularly, students who need financial support from their families in Cambodia, or freelancers who work on regional projects and can get paid easily,” he explained.
