In line with its CSR policy and corporate values, on October 22, 2016 ABA Bank sponsored the "We are one" cultural exhibition held in Phnom Penh’s Institute of Technology (ITC).

The exhibition this year was held under the slogan "Culture, the Soul of Nation". Its objective is to promote and raise awareness of Cambodia’s culture, traditions, literature and heritage, as well as to involve youth and increase their role in the development of the nation. The event is also a venue to both traditional and modern day artists to share their perspective and concerns on the preservation of arts and culture.

ABA Bank acted as a main sponsor of the initiative and also organized an on-the-spot drawing competition. In this activity, the students were asked to illustrate their own interpretation of the event theme. Their artworks were displayed at the gallery hall and the winners were awarded with cash prizes from ABA at the end of the event.

During the exhibition, numerous activities such as Khmer traditional dance, modern pop dance, and Khmer traditional songs have been performed.

The event marked a massive success this year. It attracted up to 1,500 participants from universities, organizations and private sector who came together to discuss and share their perspective on the cultural preservation. The opening remarks were delivered by the special guests: H.E. Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information, H.E. Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federation and Lawmaker of Kompong Speu, and H.E. Prak Sokhom, the council of minister, representative of H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism.

Commenting on the occasion, Ms. Theam Romny, Regional Manager of Toul Kork and Sen Sok branches of ABA Bank said, "We are proud to support this initiative since it helps not only promote our culture, but raise youth’s awareness in their role to preserve it. In line with this, the bank organized on-the-spot drawing competition to allow youth to illustrate and pull together their creativity and at the same time interpret their understanding of culture through the product of their drawing. Both traditional and modern arts in Cambodia show that the country is enriching from all aspects, and support of arts and our culture play the major role in the harmonious development of the nation."
