ABA Bank supports 22nd ASEAN Banking Conference and 49th ASEAN Banking Council Meeting

ABA Bank became Silver Sponsor of the 22nd ASEAN Banking Conference and the 49th ASEAN Banking Council Meeting which took place in Phnom Penh from 25-27 November 2019. The two combined events were organized by the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and the ASEAN Bankers Association (ABA).
Besides the financial support, ABA Bank’s Chief Digital Officer Zokhir Rasulov became the speaker of the panel discussion “Digitalization/Fintech for one ASEAN market” where he shared the digital innovation journey of the Bank and provided his vision on the further development of digital finance in Cambodia.
Scheduled under the theme “ASEAN Connectivity 2025: A Brave New World of Digital Innovation for One ASEAN Banking Sector”, the ASEAN Banking Conference gathered more than 500 delegates from the ten ASEAN countries and across the region to discuss about digital transformation in Southeast Asia’s banking and financial service.
The second and third day following the conference were dedicated to the ASEAN Banking Council Meeting attended by over 150 members of ASEAN Bankers Association who gathered to endorse the proposals of the three permanent committees of the Council.
