ABA Bank sponsors the 4th Cambodia Banking Conference, promoting financial literacy and inclusion

ABA Bank, the largest commercial bank in Cambodia1, is proud to become the Diamond Sponsor of the Cambodia Banking Conference 2025, organized by the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC), on 19-20 August 2025 in Phnom Penh.
Under the theme of "Unlocking Inclusive Growth: Digital Innovation and Sustainability", this two-day event hosted various panel discussions and sharing sessions addressing a wide range of topics related to the economy in the ASEAN region and the world, including cybersecurity, digital banking, inclusive finance, economic outlook, and others.
Esteemed attendees from the event included H.E. Kith Sovannarith, Director General of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia, and Rath Sophoan, Chairman of ABC. Representatives from financial institutions, ministries, government entities, and international institutions such as the ASEAN Bankers Association and World Bank were also present.
Romny Theam, ABA Bank's EVP and Chief External Affairs Officer – Regional Manager, participated as a panelist on the "Transition planning for Financial Institutions and Corporates: Implementation experiences in the Cambodia context", highlighting how financial institutions and corporates are planning and implementing sustainable finance practices in Cambodia.
ABA Bank's EVP and Chief Risk Officer, Torsten Kleine Buening, also became a panelist on "Fraud Prevention: Fighting Fraud in the Digital Era", where he shared insights into ABA's fraud prevention strategies and risk mitigation efforts.
ABA also set up a booth at the event, showcasing its newly launched Analytics feature, a Personal Finance Management (PFM) tool designed to help ABA Mobile users track, analyze, and improve their financial habits inside the app.
Beyond the sponsorship and active participation, ABA remains steadfast in contributing to the Cambodian financial landscape and plays a role in shaping the country's banking sector in the long run.
