ABA Bank, Cambodia’s leading financial institution in digital financial solutions, received Letters of Appreciation from Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E. Kong Vibol, Director-General of the General Department of Taxation (GDT), that praise the Bank’s contribution to the development of the national economy for being one of the top taxpayers in the country for 2020.

As the 12th largest taxpayer, the Bank demonstrated commitment and transparency in good corporate tax governance by meeting its obligations on tax payments.

A remark in the appreciation letter sealed and signed by Prime Minister Hun Sen stated, “I would like to express my gratitude and sincere admiration to Directors of the Bank that has expressed a strong sense of internal duty to pay taxes to the state budget and accredited to be the 12th largest taxpayer in Cambodia for 2020. The company’s fulfilled responsibility to pay taxes is the crucial contribution of the private sector, which is the important state’s partner, as well as the driving force to development of the national economy.”

In December 2020, ABA Bank was granted a “GOLD” Certificate of Tax Compliance from the GDT with a 2-year validity period for financial years 2021 and 2022 resulted from strong commitment to the tax compliance.
