ABA Bank joins Riel Day 2026 to endorse the use of national currency
04/Nov/2026
ABA Bank participated in Riel Day 2026, held in Kampot Province, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the use of national currency and supporting financial literacy initiatives across Cambodia.
Organized by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), the event was presided over by H.E. Yim Leat, NBC's Deputy Governor, and H.E. Khiev Rithyphoin, Kampot's Provincial Deputy Governor. The event also brought together other government officials, financial institutions, students, and members of the public to celebrate the Riel and encourage its wider use in daily transactions.
Throughout the day, ABA interacted with visitors at its dedicated booth. ABA staff provided helpful information on the Bank's Riel savings products, emphasizing high-interest-rate deposits, Instant Account openings, and prize giveaways.
In line with ABA's continuous effort to promote KHR usage, the Bank's ATMs, Cash-in kiosks, and Cash Recycling Machines are equipped to accept and dispense Riel notes of varying denominations. This setup ensures that customers can easily save, withdraw, and manage their finances in national currency.
ABA will also join the upcoming Riel Day event in other provinces, including Kep (6 November), Kandal (20 November), Preah Sihanouk (4 December), Tboung Khmum (18 December), and Kampong Cham (21 December).
ABA encourages everyone to use the Riel more often in their daily transactions and join us in supporting our national currency!
