ABA Bank garners eight awards from VISA, solidifying its market leadership in Cambodia

ABA Bank attained eight Leadership Awards from VISA, the world's leading digital payment service provider. This recognition signifies ABA's unwavering commitment to driving the growth of cashless payments and financial inclusion in Cambodia throughout 2024.
The awards were presented at the VISA Client Appreciation Event 2024. The event recognized and celebrated the contributions of participating banks to the growth of VISA products and the introduction and promotion of cashless payments in Cambodia.
ABA Bank's dedication to excellence was recognized with eight awards at the VISA event:
- Leadership in Consumer Debit Payment Volume;
- Leadership in Consumer Credit Payment Volume;
- Leadership in Credit Activation Rate;
- Leadership in Debit Activation Rate;
- Leadership in Spend per Active Card for VISA Debit in Affluent Segment;
- Leadership in Total Merchant Sales Volume Growth;
- Leadership in Active CAIDs (Card Acceptor Terminal IDs) Growth;
- Leadership in Active Net New Acceptance Location.
These achievements reaffirm ABA Bank’s position as the undisputed leader in Cambodia’s card payment ecosystem. ABA is the number one bank in the country by overall card payment volume and acceptance points, as well as by KHQR payments and acceptance points, further underscoring its dominant role in driving digital transactions nationwide.

In 2022, ABA became the first bank in Cambodia to introduce instant Card Issuing Machines, revolutionizing the card issuance process. The machine allows ABA Mobile users to obtain physical cards in under two minutes without branch staff assistance. The Bank also has been consistently growing its POS and card acceptance network.
