ABA Bank, the largest commercial Bank in Cambodia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) to extend its support to TYDA’s humanitarian activities for another three years.

Following the MoU, ABA will make charitable contributions of $100,000 to TYDA annually in 2023-2025 for its essential work on providing free medical treatment and healthcare to rural communities across the country.

The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sou Syphanna, Chief Executive Officer of TYDA, Askhat Azhikhanov, Chief Executive Officer of ABA Bank, and with other distinguished guests at ABA Bank's Head Office on 31 May 2023.

"We were honored to support TYDA first in 2022 by donating $100,000 to their community programs. We have long admired TYDA's social impact in providing free health checks and treatment to Cambodians in both rural and urban areas," commented Askhat Azhikhanov, CEO of ABA Bank.

"To show our strong support and longer commitment, today we extend our support for another three consecutive years. We are proud to partner with TYDA, and we look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of Cambodians," he added.

"We are grateful for ABA Bank's continued support for TYDA and our humanitarian work over the years," said Dr. Sou Syphanna, CEO of TYDA. He also added that the annual donation of $100,000 for three years will allow TYDA to expand free medical treatment and healthcare to even more rural communities across Cambodia.

"We are very happy to continue our partnership with ABA Bank and look forward to the positive impact we can achieve together,” Sou Syphanna emphasized.

As an active member of the business community, ABA Bank regularly supports initiatives and projects aimed at healthcare, poverty alleviation, literacy, employability, and fostering of underprivileged youth and disadvantaged communities.

In addition to its ongoing support for TYDA, ABA recently donated $200,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross for its humanitarian activities and committed to providing financial support for the inclusive education program of the Cambodian Children's Fund.
