ABA Bank, the largest commercial bank in Cambodia, inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittiprittbandit Scholarship Students (AMT) to continue its support of providing scholarships to needy students and develop human resources for another three years.

Following the MoU, ABA Bank is committed to contributing $100,000 to AMT annually in 2023-2025 to support bright and gifted Cambodians via scholarships, educational programs, and financial assistance schemes.

The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by H.E. Sok Puthyvuth, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMT, Askhat Azhikhanov, Chief Executive Officer of ABA Bank, and other distinguished guests at ABA Bank's Head Office on 31 May 2023.

"To show our stronger and longer commitment, we extend our support for another three years today. We believe that our contribution will help AMT to continue its important work of building quality human resources for the country's future, and we look forward to working together to make a difference in the lives of Cambodians," commented Askhat Azhikhanov.

"ABA Bank is committed to education. We believe it is the key to a better future for everyone, and we are proud to support organizations like AMT that are working to make education more accessible to all," he added.

"We are grateful for the continued support of ABA Bank. The support will be crucial in ensuring that bright and gifted Cambodian students and professionals access educational opportunities that might be otherwise out of reach, and we are glad that ABA took part in helping Cambodia students and professionals fulfill their potential," said H.E. Sok Puthyvuth, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of AMT.

Recently, ABA announced its continuous support to Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) for three consecutive years for its essential work on providing free medical treatment and healthcare to rural communities nationwide.

Earlier in May 2023, the Bank partnered with Cambodian Children's Fund to develop an all-inclusive development program for underprivileged children. ABA Bank's support will include internships and employment opportunities, scholarships, monetary support for school infrastructure, and other important initiatives.
