ABA Bank became the Premium Sponsor of the National Art Competition for young artists organized by Global Art Cambodia (GAC). This support displays the continuous commitment of the Bank and goes in line with the Bank’s CSR policy to promote children’s imagination, innovation and creativity through the arts.

Held in Phnom Penh’s AEON Mall 2 on September 1, 2019, the competition brought together the children to express their appreciation towards people, animals, things and events in their life in paintings.

“ABA Bank has been joining hands with GAC for this art competition since 2014, and we are happy to continue the journey again this year,” said Saksamret Som, Toul Kork Deputy Branch Manager who delivered the trophies and air tickets to Singapore as awards to the winners.

“We believe that the event will help children to enhance and nurture human values, build good friendship, and learn to appreciate the people and the environment around them,” he added.

ABA Bank also setup a booth to provide some fun activities to children such as clown with animal balloons, face painting, and book coloring activities to entertain the children.

In total, more than 160 students, age 4-18, participated in the event. The competitors were divided into three age categories. The winners in each category received Global Art Scholarship for half year, flight tickets, trophies, certificates, and hampers, while consolation prizes were also given to runners up.

The three champions – Ngoun Vanthath Sereyrotha, Lun Gech Houng, and Peou Thanen – will represent Cambodia at the International Art Competition in Singapore in December 2019.
