ABA and MPTC launch the platform to purchase local domain names via ABA Mobile

ABA Bank, Cambodia’s largest commercial bank1, collaborated with the Digital Government Committee (DGC) led by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) to introduce the platform for purchasing local domain names via ABA Mobile.

The ABA Mobile users can now buy domain names for their brand, company, or organization via smartphone in just a few taps under the Services section of their ABA Mobile app.

This partnership provides a domain name management system that adheres to international standards and encourages the use of the .kh domain for companies, organizations, schools, and government institutions within Cambodia.

The existing local domain owners can also use this service to extend the validity of their .kh domains to ensure they are up and running.

To purchase a domain name via ABA Mobile, users need to follow these simple steps:

  • Launch ABA Mobile and tap Domain .kh under Explore Services on the main screen;
  • Sign up to the Domain .kh platform;
  • Search for the preferred domain name and submit the necessary documents for approval.

After you receive an approval email from TRC:

  • log in to the Domain .kh service in ABA Mobile, click Domain, and go to My Domain;
  • Select “Pending Payment” status, choose duration, and pay with your ABA account.

Those who wish to extend their .kh domain’s validity, shall do the following:

  • Launch ABA Mobile and tap Domain .kh under Explore Services on the main screen;
  • Log in to the Domain .kh service in ABA Mobile;
  • Choose an existing local domain that needs to be extended, click Domain, and go to My Domain;
  • Select “Pending Payment” status, then choose duration, and pay with your ABA account.
