ABA​ Bank,​ a​ leading​ Cambodian​ commercial​ bank​ in​ digital​ finances,​ announces​ that​ it​ received​ the​ “Mobile​ Banking​ and​ Payment​ Initiative​ of​ the​ Year​ in​ Cambodia”​ award​ at​ the​ Asian​ Banking​ and​ Finance​ (ABF)​ magazine’s​ Retail​ Banking​ Awards​ 2020.

The​ award​ was​ given​ to​ ABA​ for​ maintaining​ digital​ financial​ technology​ for​ the​ benefit​ of​ its​ customers​ and​ the​ significant​ advancements​ it​ introduced​ to​ ABA​ Mobile,​ which​ became​ the​ most​ popular​ banking​ app​ in​ the​ market.

In​ particular,​ the​ judging​ panel​ praised​ the​ launch​ on​ ABA​ Mobile​ of​ several​ money​ transfer​ channels​ that​ now​ allow​ users​ to​ send​ money​ internationally​ through​ SWIFT,​ Ria​ and​ DBP​ instant​ money​ transfers.​ Additionally,​ the​ bank​ introduced​ account​ opening​ on​ the​ app​ and​ extended​ the​ support​ of​ Khmer​ riel​ in​ its​ mobile​ banking​ products.

ABA​ also​ significantly​ empowered​ its​ QR-code​ payment​ feature,​ ABA​ PAY,​ by​ enabling​ static​ QR​ payments​ in​ USD​ and​ KHR.​ The​ acceptance​ of​ QR​ payments​ was​ boosted,​ and​ now​ more​ than​ 20,000​ merchants​ across​ the​ country​ accept​ cashless​ payments​ made​ via​ ABA​ Mobile.​
