Upholding its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy to help improve education for young Cambodians, ABA became a proud Premium Sponsor at the National Art Competition 2018 organized by Global Art Cambodia (GAC). The competition was held at AEON Mall 2 (Sen Sok City) on September 16, 2018 and aimed at promoting children imagination, innovation and creativity as well as to broaden their learning and thinking beyond the horizon. The Bank has been supporting the competitions under GAC since 2014.
“We are glad to continuously support the Global Art Competition to foster young generation’s artistic talent and creativity,” said Romny Theam, ABA Toul Kork Regional Manager who awarded the winners with air tickets to Myanmar. “We believe that such event will help Cambodian children learn how to express themselves with confidence to move toward a later stage in their lives. ABA will continue to take part in this positive contribution for the sake of the country’s young generations and future development.”
The event attracted more than 200 participants aged 4-18 from various schools. The competitors were divided into three categories: age 4-6, age 7-9, and age 10-18. The winners in each category received Global Art Scholarship for half year, flight tickets, trophies, certificates, and hampers, while consolation prizes were also given to runners up.
The three champions – Sang Sokunnika, Lay Pich Moni Rachana, and Bounhing Sojestta – will continue their journey to represent Cambodia in the International Art Competition in Myanmar in December 2, 2018.
