ABA sponsors ABC's 3rd Cambodia Banking Conference to enhance the robust financial sector

ABA Bank, Cambodia's largest commercial bank1, proudly became the Diamond Sponsor of the 3rd Cambodia Banking Conference organized by the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) on 22-23 August 2024 in Phnom Penh.
The conference focused on “Uniting Finance: Strengthening Cooperation for a Resilient Financial Sector,” aimed to discuss critical issues shaping the banking sector.
The event's esteemed attendees including Em Kamnan, the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC)'s Deputy Director General of Banking Supervision, Rath Sophoan, ABC's Chairman, representatives from ministries, the Association's members, international institutions such as the ASEAN Bankers Association, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, and other stakeholders.
Panel discussions and presentations by key speakers spanned the two-day event, covering a wide range of topics ranging from digital banking to fraud prevention, global and local economic updates, and more.
ABA Bank's Chief Risk Officer, Torsten Kleine Buening, participated in a panel discussion as a moderator on “Fraud Prevention: Fighting Fraud in the Digital Era.” He was able to support the discussion by sharing insights into ABA’s approach to combating fraud and highlighting the Bank’s efforts to identify and mitigate these risks.
