ABA supports Road Safety Program for children of Takhmao
ABA Bank together with other local businesses supported "Our Safety" program officiated by Zaman Junior Group, to help raise awareness on road safety to the students of Takhmao Primary School.
This social activity educates children on traffic law as well as demonstrates how to care about other children's of Cambodia. The project was initiated by the junior students of Zaman University and joined by other university students in Phnom Penh, summing up to 30 volunteers in total. The organizers conducted a short presentation of road safety, traffic basic rules and regulation, role play on how accidents on the road may happen and how to prevent it, and sang a jingle on road safety to more than 150 primary school students.
"It is ABA Bank's pleasure to support this kind of activity to help raise awareness on road safety for children. We also acknowledge the commitment and effort of the university students to conduct such important activities to help the younger generations, indeed the youth is the hope and the future of our nation", said Ms. Chap Chandina, ABA Bank Public Relations Manager. "It is the Bank's integral core value to give back to the community and mission to provide Cambodia a brighter future wherever possible", she also added.
On that occasion, the junior students gave away helmets and study kits to more than 150 students while the teachers received goodie bags.
About "Our Safety" Program
"Our Safety” is a community work program created by the Junior Students of Zaman University. The project was aimed to contribute back to the society and launched at Takhmao Primary School in Kandal Province.
