On 13-15 March 2015, ABA Bank participated in the River Festival organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Federation of Associations for Small and Medium Enterprises of Cambodia in Kratie province. Within the frames of the Festival, an Agriculture, Tourism and Khmer products Exhibition was held.

As ABA is opening its full-service branch in Kratie province, the Bank was proud to join the exhibition as one of its main contributors. The Bank staff were presenting ABA and its products and services to the community of the area. In particular, the visitors were acquainted to the Bank’s latest deposit and loan products, especially with Microbusiness loan, demand in which is now becoming more actual in rural areas.

Mr. Ean Samann, Kratie branch manager of ABA Bank said, “Participating in the River Festival, we aim to show our commitment to help local businesses, bringing the modern banking technologies and financial services to people who live here. Our branch is ready to serve the growing needs of the population in all kinds of banking products and services, including microbusiness loans, saving deposits, trade finance and many others.”

By taking part in such events, ABA Bank clearly demonstrates its readiness to assist local authorities in developing the real sector of economy, as well as to support individuals and entrepreneurs.

About the River Festival

The River Festival was held for the first time in Kratie province. Numerous participants from the province, as well as neighboring provinces and international guests visited the festival. During the event, several activities were held: exhibition of local businesses, food testing, boat racing, concerts and others.

The main objectives of the River Festival are to:

  • demonstrate the potential of the local products and resources to regional and international markets;
  • promote commercial sector in the province;
  • add more business activities on the agriculture, industrial and tourism sector;
  • create the export opportunity;
  • boost and expand the business in province with making it more comprehensive.

The Agriculture, Tourism and Khmer products Exhibition gathered 108 companies from different sectors of economy, with around 500,000 visitors, according to organizers’ estimates.
