ABA Bond listed on Cambodia Securities Exchange

After the successful issuance earlier this month, the corporate bond of Advanced Bank of Asia Limited (ABA Bank) has been listed on the Cambodia Securities Exchange. The Bond was assigned the “ABAA22A” bond symbol.
ABA Bond was issued on August 14, for the total amount of KHR 84.821 billion (approximately $21 million). It has the maturity of 3 years and pays a coupon of 7.75% per annum.
The ABA Bond is the first corporate bond available for retail investors in addition to institutional investors. ABA Bond also becomes the first offer of debt securities from a commercial bank in the country and the first Cambodian bond with international ‘B’ rating from S&P Global Ratings agency.
The net proceeds from the bond issuance will support rural micro-, small and medium enterprises , including women entrepreneurs in Cambodia.
