ABA Bank takes part in Riel Day 2024, boosts KHR usage

ABA Bank proudly participated in Riel Day 2024, held on 24 March 2024 at K Mall Phnom Penh. This event celebrated the 44th anniversary of the reintroduction of the Riel as Cambodia's official currency.
The gathering aimed to raise public awareness about the history and significance of Riel and its growing role in the Cambodian economy. ABA Bank played an active part in showcasing the advantages of using Riel and promoting financial inclusion.
The Riel Day 2024 event also featured a showcase of various booths. Visitors enjoyed exhibitions highlighting the history and development of the Riel, alongside captivating performances, Q&A sessions, and informative videos related to Riel and Cambodia's economic landscape.
ABA actively engaged with visitors throughout the day, showcasing its commitment to promoting financial inclusion and supporting the Riel. ABA staff provided information about the Bank's Riel savings products at the dedicated booth, including high-interest rate deposits and mobile savings accounts. Visitors could open ABA Instant Accounts on the spot, receiving the account denominated in KHR and ready for immediate use.
With ABA’s ongoing commitment to promote the use of Riel, ATMs, Cash-in kiosks, and Cash Recycling Machines are all equipped to accept and dispense KHR notes of varying denominations. This ensures ease of use for customers saving, withdrawing, and managing their Riel finances.
