ABA Bank ranked as Cambodia’s Second Largest Taxpayer in 2022

ABA Bank, the largest Cambodian commercial bank1, received a Letter of Appreciation from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, that praised the Bank’s contribution to the development of the national economy for being one of the top two taxpayers in 2022.
The improvement shows the Bank has demonstrated continuous commitment and transparency in good corporate tax governance by meeting Cambodia’s tax obligations and regulations.
A remark in the appreciation letter sealed and signed by Prime Minister Hun Sen stated, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to ABA’s Chief Executive Officer for your contribution to tax obligation for the government. ABA is the second largest taxpayer in 2022 and has received a “Gold” Certificate of Tax Compliance from the GDT for showing a strong commitment to tax compliance. The Bank’s fulfillment to the tax payment obligation is a necessary contribution from the private sector, which is an important partner of the government, as well as a main resource to support the growth of Cambodia’s economy and society.”
ABA Bank was granted a “GOLD” Certificate of Tax Compliance from the GDT for three consecutive years: 2020, 2021, and 2022. This is a result of strong commitment and transparency to tax compliance in Cambodia.
