Job Purpose
VMware Engineers create, deploy, and maintain Data Center and server infrastructure that relies on VMware products. Plans and manages initial deployments, backup, provides support and vendor management for server-based products. Plans, designs and recommends platform modifications or additions to increase system stability, capacity and scalability. On top of that he is accountable for keeping bank’s infrastructure secure by complying security policies.

Major Areas of Responsibility
- Administration of VMware virtual environment using vSphere spanning multiple data centers
- Installation and configuration of VMware vCenter Server and ESXi hosts
- Operate Backup software to ensure monthly and daily backups complete for data protection
- Provides performance monitoring, technical support and troubleshooting of servers
- Maintains awareness of VMware and Veeam software patches and their impact on the environment
- Evaluates resource requirements
- Ensures IT compliance with Bank policies
- Participate in support rotations
- Keep up to date IT infrastructure diagram
- Provides technical consultation on complex projects with server/data center requirements
- Develops and maintains operational guidelines for the maintenance and support of the virtual infrastructure
- Perform other tasks that can be assigned by line manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field of study
- Proven experience in a network administrator role, 2 years minimum
- Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure
- Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
- Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English
