Compliance Specialist

- Phnom Penh, Head Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep up to date with new laws/regulations that are applicable to the Bank;
- Prepare and review Compliance policies and procedures in line with evolving statutory and regulatory obligations and submission for senior management’s approval;
- Ensure that Compliance policies and procedures remain up-date at all times in both Khmer and English;
- Conduct regulatory assurance on all the Bank’s policies against applicable laws/regulations;
- Prepare Compliance Training materials and provide the training to Bank’s employees incorporation with Human Resources;
- Review and finalize educational materials for Compliance Division;
- Upon request from business units, provide Compliance advice/consultancy;
- Assist in providing inputs, and review of compliance related training materials and update them in case of necessity;
- Assist in finalization of periodic reports/presentations on Compliance Committee meetings;
- Monitoring, provide tracking status and following up on Compliance action plans within Compliance as well as with Business Units; and
- Other tasks assigned by manager.
Skills and Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance and Banking, Law or in a related discipline or equivalent qualification;
- 4 or more years of relevant work experience gained in the banking industry preferably in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Auditor;
- Good knowledge of banking legislation and regulation;
- Deep understanding of Compliance principles;
- Understanding business process & procedures and ability to make suggestions on designing or redesigning;
- Strong analytical and implementation skills;
- Ability to think critically to provide efficient and effective solutions to complex issues;
- Possesses effective leadership, and strategic planning skills to facilitate team work;
- Effective oral and written communication skills; and
- Good understanding of industry's trends and issues.
