ABA Bank, Cambodia's largest commercial bank1 reaffirms its dedication to fostering youth empowerment and education by donating IT equipment to Passerelles Numériques Cambodia (PNC), a distinguished NGO that provides underprivileged youth with education and training in digital technologies.

The substantial donation comprises desks, servers, switches, and other essential equipment designed to bolster PNC's IT infrastructure and provide students with the resources necessary to excel in their studies. The donation handover was held on 11 August 2023 at PNC's premises in Phnom Penh. The event was attended by Maud Koetschet, Training Manager of PNC, Vithiea Ly, Chief HR Officer of ABA Bank, and PNC students.

We are proud to support PNC in its mission to empower young people through education and training in digital technologies," stated Vithiea Ly. "This donation will help PNC students to get more essential IT skills required to excel in the workforce and contribute to Cambodia's socio-economic progress."

We firmly believe that education serves as the cornerstone of progress," emphasized Ly. "Our commitment extends beyond this donation to ensuring that young Cambodians have access to quality education, regardless of their background."

Maud Koetschet expressed gratitude for ABA Bank's contribution: "We are deeply grateful to ABA Bank for its generous donation of IT equipment. It will undoubtedly make a tangible difference in the lives of our students, providing them with the tools they need to realize their full potential."

ABA Bank's commitment to empowering Cambodia's youth is not limited to this donation. The bank has a history of supporting initiatives that promote education and training. In addition to its collaboration with PNC, ABA Bank is actively exploring further opportunities to contribute to the advancement of education in Cambodia.

In early August, ABA contributed approximately $20,000 to Kampong Ro high school in Svay Rieng province's remote district to improve the school's infrastructure, promote a conducive learning atmosphere, and establish a computer lab within the school premises.
