Dear valued customers,

We've noticed a rise in scamming activities on social media and messenger platforms like Facebook and Telegram.

In this regard, we would like to advise you to exercise extreme caution and protect your social media and messenger accounts by following the steps below:

  1. Be wary when you are asked to send money to a third party or unknown person. Always verify it with the message sender before making any bank transaction.
  2. Keep your messenger’s one-time password (OTP) or code secret at all times and do not share it with anyone. With this code or OTP, hackers can log into your social media or messenger account from another device and log you out so you lose access to it.
  3. Enable two-factor authentication: add an extra layer of security by enabling two-factor authentication on your social media and messenger accounts. This means that in addition to and OTP code sent via message, you will need to enter your password to log in.
  4. Monitor your social media and messenger accounts regularly: keep an eye on them for any unusual activity (someone shares, posts, or sends messages on your behalf). If you notice anything suspicious, change your password immediately and report the incident to the platform.

We strongly recommend spreading the word to your family and friends to help keep them safe.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact us at info@remove-this.ababank.com or call 1 800 203 203 (toll-free inside Cambodia).

Thank you.
