ABA Bank, Cambodia’s largest commercial bank1, donated US$ 5,000 to the communities affected by the unprecedented flooding in Kampong Thom and Siem Reap provinces through the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) under the initiative from the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).

On October 29, the Relief Package Distribution Ceremony in Siem Reap province was graced by H.E. Rath Sovannorak, Assistant Governor and Director-General of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia, local authority representatives, and other guests.

The donation from ABA provided relief packages to more than 1,000 families affected by the recent flooding in two provinces. Each family received urgent food aid through this contribution, including rice, canned fish, noodles, and water.

This activity corresponds to ABA Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility principles, and the Bank fully supports the efforts of NBC and ABC that contribute positively to local communities, especially in times of hardship.

1 ABA Bank is the largest commercial bank in Cambodia by total assets, gross loans, customer deposits and profitability based on the National Bank of Cambodia’s Annual Supervision Report 2021.
