ABA participates in the Cambodia Stock Market exhibition 2022

ABA Bank, the largest Cambodian commercial bank¹, sponsored the My First Stock event organized by the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) to promote the securities market and provide the public with fundamental knowledge of financial services. The event became a part of the Cambodia Stock Market Exhibition 2022.

The opening ceremony was held at AEON Mall Phnom Penh on 21-23 October and was graced by the representatives of CSX, Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), and other guests. ABA staff helped the event visitors open accounts on the spot, including trading accounts for equity trading purposes.

ABA introduced to its mobile banking app the possibility to open trading accounts in June 2021. The opening of trading account is a legal requirement that shall be used as a separate account for stock trading. ABA customers can easily do so by launching ABA Mobile, tapping New Account, and selecting Mobile Trading Account from the list of available accounts.

As an active player in the local financial market, ABA was the first bank to issue corporate bonds on the Cambodian capital market for retail and institutional investors in 2019. It was also the first offer of debt securities from a commercial bank in the country. ABA Bond contributed to the Cambodian capital market development, bringing even more trust in this sector. The Bank successfully fulfilled its obligations and transferred in full the principal and last coupon of its corporate bonds to all bondholders in August 2022.
