ABA becomes partner for IDP’s Global Alumni Convention 2019

To support education and career development for young Cambodians, ABA Bank proudly partnered with IDP Education (Cambodia) to organize the 5th Global Alumni Convention (GAC) that took place in Sofitel Phokeethra Hotel in Phnom Penh on October 25 – 26, 2019.
This year’s GAC incorporated the Global Education & Career Expo and Global Alumni Festival, aimed to display the world-class education options from international education institutions to students and professionals who wish to pursue their education abroad. The participants received handful information on study programs, requirements for school admission, visa processes, and scholarship options from various countries.
In addition, the event included special panel discussions by successful alumni and employers from various industries to provide students with the insights into skill development, career prospects and planning, as well as employment options. Head of Human Resources Department at ABA Bank, Ms. Vithiea Ly became one of the guest speakers to share her view on the current and future skill set needed in banks to the participants who showed interest in working in the banking industry.
Over 2,000 participants and 70 international education institutions gathered at IDP Education’s GAC this year. Hosted annually by IDP Education since 2015, GAC has now become one of the most prestigious arenas for international education opportunities and business networking in Cambodia.
