ABA Bank’s renovated Central branch opens on Monivong Boulevard

ABA Bank’s Central branch has moved to new premises, opposite the old building on Monivong Boulevard.The renovated Central branch opened in late July and offers ABA clients the latest in banking services. With abundant car-parking space outside, once inside clients are treated to the utmost comfort and treatment. Soft, plush sofas provide a relaxed setting, while 14 teller counters and customer service areas, and highly-trained staff are there to help with any banking needs. The Central branch also houses ABA Bank’s Priority Lounge, located on the first-floor, which is available to clients of the exclusive premium service, ABA Priority.

“The renovation of Central Branch reflects the Cambodia’s growing economy,” said Adel Leilanie G. Legarta, manager of ABA Bank’s Central branch. “For Central branch customers, we are upgrading our facilities to offer the best service possible.”

A key aspect of the renovations has been to provide better serving conditions, as well as more digital and self-banking solutions to the bank’s customers. In addition to traditional ATMs, clients can access self-banking machines, part of the new self-banking area that will allow them to withdraw cash, make deposits and make payments 24 hours a day. Of course, dedicated concierge staff are on hand to help clients adjust to the new facilities.

The opening of the new Central branch coincides with important milestones for ABA Bank. In May, it signed a landmark agreement for the Cambodian banking industry when the National Bank of Canada increased its equity in ABA Bank from 42% to 90%. In doing so, it became the first North American financial institution to hold a majority of shares in a Cambodian bank. As of July 31, 2016 the total assets of ABA were worth USD 1.005 billion, up 25% from the end of last year, while the number of accounts is currently in excess of 111,000.In 2014 – 2016, ABA Bank was named the ‘Best Bank in Cambodia’ by the world’s most prominent financial publications, including the Banker, Euromoney and Global Finance magazines.
