ABA Bank offers immediate assistance to flood victims via the Association of Banks in Cambodia
20/Oct/2020
ABA Bank, a subsidiary of National Bank of Canada, with coordination of the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) donated emergency food supplies to help families affected by the severe floods. In total, the Bank handed 4 tons of rice, 4,000 pieces of canned fish, 4,000 cups of instant noodles, and 4 tons of pure drinking water.
The donation was made through the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and accepted by H.E. Seng Tieng, Deputy Director of the Cabinet on 19 October 2020.
Following its Corporate Values, ABA Bank is fully committed to helping local communities and making positive contribution to Cambodia. Our hearts are now with those whose life was affected by this natural disaster.
The recent severe storms sweeping across the Kingdom are reported to have claimed lives and forced hundreds of thousands of people displaced due to rising waters. Floods brought by torrential rains have also caused damage to homes, infrastructure, and agriculture lands.
We would like to remind the public to remain safe and vigilant while taking care of others, especially children and the elderly, as well as aware of dedicated safe locations nearby as advised by the National Committee for Disaster Management.
