ABA Bank Celebrates the Year of Glory

Following its corporate tradition, on 20th of December ABA Bank held its annual corporate party in Phnom Penh. This year, around 700 employees of the Bank from all over Cambodia attended the event.

The annual staff party usually gathers all employees of the Bank for summing up the results and awarding the best employees, teams and branches in a friendly and informal atmosphere.

The reported staff party was held under the name “Year of Glory” due to certain great achievements of the Bank in the 2014. Opening the event, Mr. Askhat Azhikhanov, ABA Bank CEO along with the key financial results enumerated the most prominent achievements of the year: joining of a new shareholder – National Bank of Canada, opening of eight new branches, receiving two most prominent awards in banking industry from Euromoney and The Banker magazines, and cooperation with China-based UnionPay International Company.

Mr. Azhikhanov also announced the plans and strategy for the Bank's development in 2015. They include the increase of the Bank’s capital, aggressive regional expansion and introduction of unique products and services, such as mobile banking and other technologically advanced services.

In course of the event, the top-management of ABA Bank also awarded with trophies and valuable gifts the best employees, teams and branches for their efficient work during the year.

All the guests afterwards immersed in the entertainment program featuring the live band, solo and group performances from staff, lucky draws with prizes and dancing program.
